Q. How much food do i get in one pack ?

A. The food is sold in packs of 150ml

Q. That doesnt sound like much?

A. Since the food only needs to be fed 2 or 3 times a week that should last  1 month

Q. Does it come frozen in cubes?

A. No the food is vacuum packed is small bags, it will arrive fresh and ready to be frozen into cubes , with the small tray you recieve with the starter pack

Q. What does the starter pack include?

A. It includes  1 pack of MD , 1 feeding bottle and 1 cube tray

Q.  Once i recieve my food what do i do?

A. Cut the bag open and pour the food evenly over the cube tray , place the food in freezer( in a sealed tub if you prefer) and take one cube out when you are ready to feed.

Q. How do i feed it ?

A. Take ONE cube and place it in feeding bottle , fill the bottle up with tank water place the lid on it, while you are waiting for the food to melt remove your skimmer cup from the skimmer, but leave the skimmer switched on, this stop the skimmer removing the food before the corals can eat it , leaving the skimmer on with the cup removed ensures that your tank stays well oxyegenated during the night to stop PH swings.The food needs to be added just before or just after lights out. Once the food melts shake the bottle , then pour it ALL over the surface of your tank ( some prefer to add a small amount of food  an hour before lights out , this is recommended as it gets the corals into feeding mode and they will extend the feeding polops/tentecles. REMEMBER to replace your skimmer cup in the morning!

Q. With my skimmer off wont the food pollute my tank?

A. No the food has an added carbon source to help beef up the good bacteria in your reef safely, however during the first month we recommend that you check your NO3 and PO4 levels to make sure your not overfeeding!

Q. How often do i feed?

A. At first we would recommend once a week , after 2 week  2 or 3 times a week is ample to keep  all your SPS and LPS corals in top health.

Q Whats in the food ?

A. The food contains amonst other things   fresh  mussels, oysters, clams, prawns, added Amino Acids , and Carbon source for your good bacteria in your tank.

Q Do i need to feed my corals anything else ?

A. No although you can target feed sun corals etc if you think you need to , but No the food is an all in one coral food.! your corals will never have had looked better!
